The research focus of our "Gerontopsychiatry" working group lies in immunological as well as clinical-statistical and epidemiological questions in gerontopsychiatric patients.

The foundations of the research are based on a specialised diagnostic assessment of the clinical pictures of these patients, both on a gerontopsychiatric acute ward comprising 17 beds and in our gerontopsychiatric outpatient clinic, including the care of patients in more than 30 dementia shared-living communities and residential and nursing homes in Magdeburg.

In this respect, in-depth scientific research is made possible by interlinking the clinical foundations with our immunological expertise.
