Psychiatric Care

Primary nursing (Bezugspflege)

To ensure a stronger, patient-oriented way of working, we offer primary nursing.

Psychiatric illnesses are always accompanied by a loss of the ability to form social relationships. It is therefore important to establish relationships with patients in which they can try out their abilities and learn new skills.

The "primary nurse–patient relationship" begins on the first day of admission. The professionally competent support of the patient throughout the therapy is the priority. A nursing care plan is developed together with the patient, and the patient's goals are aligned with the ward's conceptual services.

Group services

Psychiatric nursing offers a wide range of group activities. These include supplementary movement and occupational therapy, household training, concentration training, medication information, a media group, milieu therapy and relaxation in a specially equipped "Snoezelen room". In addition, patients have the opportunity to express wishes, suggestions and opinions about the general course of treatment through a self-organised patient council. A so-called "real-life group" offers practical advice on coping with individual everyday problems.
