Home Treatment
Home treatment opens up possibilities to care for patients flexibly at home, up to 3 times a day or only 1–2 times a week. It is significant that, over a period of 4–8 weeks, all essential forms of treatment are made available.
This means that multidisciplinary treatment is carried out at home. Patients who are already being treated in our outpatient clinic are ideal for this.
The home-treatment team would become active if, for example, patients deteriorate and, without home treatment, inpatient admission would be imminent, or if they have been admitted as inpatients and the treatment is to be moved to the outpatient setting even though significant symptoms are still present.
Home treatment therefore replaces and shortens inpatient treatment in individual cases.
